As a Physical Education Workshop Developer, you’ll design world-class professional learning experiences that help PE educators strengthen instruction, increase student engagement, and create meaningful learning experiences for all students. Your expertise in physical education will shape practical, research-informed workshops that educators can immediately apply in their classrooms, gyms, and athletic spaces.
You’ll take client goals and instructional challenges and turn them into thoughtful, engaging professional learning experiences. Your ability to understand the realities of PE instruction — from participation and differentiation to skill development, assessment, classroom management, and student motivation — will directly influence educator practice and ultimately student outcomes.
This is a contractor position with flexibility in scheduling.

What You’ll Love To Do
- Design engaging, practical professional learning experiences specifically for physical education educators.
- Translate client goals and instructional challenges into clear, actionable workshop content.
- Bring authentic PE classroom experience into workshop design, ensuring content reflects the realities educators face every day.
- Develop strategies that help PE teachers increase student participation, engagement, skill development, and meaningful movement.
- Create opportunities for educators to apply, practice, reflect, collaborate, and leave with strategies they can use immediately.
- Incorporate research, best practices, and relevant physical education standards into workshop content.
- Design examples, scenarios, activities, and resources that are authentic to PE settings across different grade levels.
- Consider how PE educators can differentiate instruction and create inclusive learning environments while maintaining high expectations for all students.
- Collaborate with EdConnective team members and facilitators to refine workshop materials based on feedback and client needs.
- Create facilitator-ready materials that allow another educator to confidently deliver the professional learning experience.
- Approach development with creativity, curiosity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of how adults learn.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in K–12 physical education, PE instructional leadership, curriculum development, or a combination of these contexts.
- Strong knowledge of high-quality physical education instruction, including student engagement, participation, skill development, differentiation, assessment, and classroom management.
- Experience designing curriculum, professional learning, instructional resources, or workshops for educators.
- A strong understanding of the realities and challenges PE teachers encounter across different instructional settings.
- Ability to translate research and instructional best practices into practical, educator-friendly resources and learning experiences.
- Strong written communication and instructional design skills.
- Experience with adult learning and an understanding of what makes professional development meaningful, interactive, and actionable.
- Tech-savviness and comfort working with Google tools, presentation materials, and digital collaboration platforms.
- A growth mindset and openness to feedback and revision.
- A self-starter attitude, reliability, timeliness, and professionalism.
