Role Summary

We are hiring a Lead Generation & Onboarding Specialist to support growth by converting interest into active, successful customers. This role sits at the intersection of customer acquisition and early-stage onboarding, ensuring new merchants are engaged, activated, and set up for long-term usage of ShipShap’s products.

As inbound demand grows, this role plays a critical part in guiding new customers from first contact through initial platform adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage and qualify prospective SMB customers across inbound and outbound channels.
  • Support onboarding of new merchants onto ShipShap’s platform and products.
  • Guide customers through initial setup and early usage to ensure successful activation.
  • Coordinate handovers between sales, operations, and account management teams.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up to move prospects from interest to active usage.
  • Track and update lead and onboarding status within the CRM.
  • Share feedback from customer onboarding to improve processes, documentation, and experience.
  • Support referral and partner-driven acquisition initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience in lead generation, sales support, onboarding, or customer-facing roles.
  • Experience working with SMBs, e-commerce businesses, or technology platforms preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable explaining products and workflows to non-technical users.
  • Highly organized, with strong follow-through.
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems.
  • University degree required.
