About the role
We are seeking a Head of Sales Development to lead a team of Sales and Account Development Reps (SDR & ADR) to create qualified opportunities for the sales team, and take on operational and leadership tasks to help the team perform and exceed expectations. As Head of Sales Development, you will develop, train and hire highly driven and enthusiastic team members. The ideal candidate for this role will have substantial experience and positive track record managing and scaling high performance inbound and outbound sales development teams. Syndio is growing rapidly, and strong leadership plays a critical role in our strategy. *Required to be in Seattle 3-5 days per week

  • Help define team goals with the leadership team and implement processes, infrastructure, and hiring to execute against set goals and quotas.
  • Provide strong coaching and mentoring through a deep understanding of sales, our business model, and our sales methodology. This includes coaching on how to build rapport over the phone, best practices on lead follow-up and outbound prospecting techniques, qualification and how to set the right scene for high quality opportunity generation.
  • Provide weekly team performance summary as well as forecast to senior management based on a deep understanding of historical trends as well as SDRs/ADRs individual performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to optimize pipeline and sales.
  • Effectively train and onboard new SDRs/ADRs.
  • Establish methods to articulate and sell all Syndio products & services, including creating persona-based messaging, effective sequence templates and a/b testing.
  • Partner with Sales Ops to administer and train SDRs/ADRs on how to effectively utilize available sales tools including Salesforce.com, Outreach, LinkedIn and ZoomInfo.
About you
  • 4+ years experience in a leadership role within SaaS sales
  • Experience in building and scaling a high performing SDR team
  • Proven track record of success hitting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience using Salesforce.com to maintain excellent records and report on activity and metrics
  • Experience utilizing prospecting tools such as Outreach, LinkedIn and ZoomInfo
  • Passion for providing leadership & coaching, and high team engagement.
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills
  • Passionate about our mission to close pay gaps and create fairness in the workplace
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment
  • Experience working cross functionally with Marketing & RevOps

Role Progression

  • In the first month, you will have completed a robust organizational onboarding that makes you an expert on our product, our competitive landscape, and our prospects.
  • By your second month, you will dive deep into our sales training, and learn about our discovery processes, cold-calling, email outreach, LinkedIn prospecting, and more.
  • At the end of your third month, you will be fully ramped up, independently supporting 2-3 account executives and expected to have produced at least five sales qualified leads.

The interview overview

  1. 20 min phone call with a member of our Talent Team
  2. 30 minute zoom interview with the Hiring Manager
  3. 2hr Virtual On-Site - Meet with Marketing Ops. Revenue Ops + Sales
  4. Take Home Assignment
  5. Final interview with CRO - 30 minutes
