Full job description
Overview
We are seeking a CNC Machinist to manufacture precision parts and components that support a diverse portfolio of engineered products. In this role, you’ll primarily run CNC milling equipment (with turning experience strongly preferred), execute setups and changeovers, and hold tight tolerances through disciplined process control and in-process inspection.
This is a hands-on shop-floor role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely, and consistently delivers quality output with minimal supervision. We’re comfortable with a wide range of experience levels—from candidates coming right out of trade school to seasoned machinists—and we’ll pay commensurate with demonstrated capability. If you’re a machinist who values quality, consistency, and teamwork, we encourage you to apply.

Requirements:
- Run CNC Milling and Turning Equipment – Operate and monitor CNC machines with minimal supervision, delivering consistent output to standard work, safety requirements, and quality expectations (milling is the primary focus; turning is a plus).
- Perform Setups and Changeovers – Prepare machines, load tools/fixtures, and complete timely setups and changeovers while maintaining process stability and throughput.
- Read and Work From Blueprints – Interpret prints, dimensions, and tolerances accurately to ensure parts meet specification; use work instructions and standard procedures to execute jobs correctly.
- Edit and Optimize Existing Programs – Make program edits at the machine as needed (offsets, tool changes, minor adjustments) while leveraging an established program library; deep programming is not required.
- Execute In-Process Inspection – Perform required quality checks, document measurements, and verify conformance using appropriate precision measuring tools.
- Maintain Tooling and Equipment Readiness – Care for tooling, fixtures, gauges, and measuring devices to ensure repeatable results and reliable performance.
- Support Preventive Maintenance – Complete required PM tasks for assigned machines and areas to protect uptime, accuracy, and safety.
- Complete Production Documentation – Accurately complete production paperwork and required system data entry to support traceability and performance tracking.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement – Support Lean and CI efforts focused on quality, throughput, waste reduction, and process reliability.
- Model Professional Shop Behavior – Demonstrate safe, team-oriented behaviors that strengthen culture, accountability, and operational excellence.

The Ideal Candidate
- Blueprint-Driven Machinist – You interpret prints confidently and translate specifications into accurate setups, offsets, and parts that meet tolerance.
- Process-Disciplined Producer – You run to standard work, control variation, and take pride in repeatable quality and clean documentation.
