Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly strategic, forward-thinking Maintenance Manager to drive engineering and maintenance excellence at our Loudon facility.

This is not a role for a reactive "firefighter." We are looking for a true change agent who can shift the plant’s culture from reactive repairs to a proactive, highly reliable operation. You will be responsible for moving the needle at the plant level by championing preventative and predictive maintenance strategies, identifying organizational weak points, and setting a standard of high accountability and excellence.

As a leader, you will set the tone for the entire maintenance department—supervising, mentoring, and developing a team of professionals to seamlessly meet the safety, quality, and production goals of the facility.

Compensation

  • $110,000 - $140,000

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision
  • 401(k) matching
  • PTO

Responsibilities

  • Proactive Maintenance Strategy – Transition the facility away from break-fix reactions by building, managing, and evolving robust Preventative (PM) and Predictive (PdM) maintenance programs to run equipment more efficiently.
  • Culture & Leadership – Set a positive, safety-first, and highly accountable tone for the plant; supervise, mentor, and evaluate hourly personnel involved with maintenance, repair, programming, and servicing of plant facilities.
  • Continuous Improvement – Analyze recurring problems to decrease costs and improve yields; identify weak points in processes and confidently lead the organizational changes necessary to fix them.
  • Team Development – Develop and implement comprehensive training plans to upskill employees on new processes, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques. Conduct regular pre-shift maintenance objective meetings.
  • Performance Management – Maintain performance records, conduct routine reviews, coach employees, schedule coverage (including vacation time), and handle disciplinary actions according to company policy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner closely with operating departments to coordinate ongoing plant support, leading resource planning and management efforts across the manufacturing floor.
  • Systems & Inventory Management – Oversee the maintenance of spare parts inventory; ensure all requisitions, time spent, tag information, and machine documents are accurately recorded in the CMMS (SAP).
  • Safety & Compliance – Ensure absolute adherence to all safety protocols, maintaining site equipment, instrumentation, utilities, and facilities in compliance with good engineering practices.
