Overview:

Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in keeping our production lines running strong in a fast-paced polymer manufacturing environment. From daily troubleshooting to critical repairs, this is a hands-on role where no two days look the same. You’ll solve real-time problems and keep key systems operating at peak efficiency, working across multiple disciplines:

  • Mechanical and equipment
  • Electrical and controls
  • Hydraulics & pneumatics

Technicians will maintain and troubleshoot essential equipment such as extrusion lines, compounding systems, and material handling machinery. You’ll contribute to preventive maintenance programs, support continuous improvement efforts, and be part of a close-knit team that takes pride in doing things right. We value safety, craftsmanship, and collaboration—and we’re looking for team players who enjoy solving tough problems and making an impact every shift.

Shift Openings

  • 2nd: 3pm - 11pm
  • 3rd: 11pm - 7am

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Equipment Maintenance – Perform repairs and rebuilds on mechanical equipment such as extruders, mixers, pelletizers, conveyors, and gearboxes.
  • Continuous Improvement – Contribute to plant improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues, suggesting process enhancements, and supporting equipment upgrades or modifications.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving – Work alongside production operators, maintenance teammates, and engineers to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Preventive Maintenance – Perform scheduled PM tasks such as lubrication, filter changes, belt and chain inspections, and wear component replacement to extend equipment life.
  • Electrical & Controls – Troubleshoot and repair wiring, sensors, motors, and control panels; assist with PLC diagnostics under guidance of senior technicians or engineering.
  • Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems – Maintain and repair high-pressure systems including pumps, cylinders, actuators, and valves.
  • Fabrication & Welding – Execute cutting, MIG/TIG/arc welding, and custom fabrication to support equipment modifications and structural repairs.
  • Documentation – Accurately record maintenance activities, downtime events, and parts usage in the plant’s CMMS or maintenance logs.

Requirements


Qualifications

  • Experience – 3+ years industrial maintenance, manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications – Millwright or equivalent preferred, not required.
  • Mechanical – Equipment repair, rebuilds, troubleshooting, alignment, teardown.
  • Electrical Skills – Low-voltage wiring, sensors, motors, panels, 480v.
  • Controls & PLCs – Sensors, relays, limit switches, basic PLCs.
  • Hydraulics – Pumps, valves, actuators, high-pressure systems.
  • Communication Skills – Team collaboration, shift handoff, clear documentation.
  • Attention to Detail – Precision repairs, safety checks, accurate logs.
  • Physical Requirements – Heights, confined spaces, dust, heat, noise.
