Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Service Technician & Small Engine Mechanic to join an outdoor power equipment dealer and service center dedicated to excellence. We are a premier destination for equipment sales and repair, and we take pride in delivering exceptional service to our community.
In this role, you will play a critical part in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide variety of small engines and outdoor power equipment. We value diverse mechanical backgrounds; whether your experience is in lawnmowers, go-karts, ATVs, or marine engines, your technical skills may make you an excellent fit for our team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering top-notch work.
Compensation
- $25 - $32 / hr

Responsibilities
- Small Engine Repair: Diagnose and repair small engines and outdoor power equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and similar machines.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates reliably and efficiently.
- Diagnostics: Use diagnostic tools to quickly identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Documentation: Accurately record repairs, parts used, and maintenance completed using our internal tracking system.
- Inventory Management: Maintain organization of tools, parts inventory, and workspace cleanliness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors, clearly communicating any parts, supply needs, or complex repair issues.
- Team Support: Proactively support coworkers, assist in training new team members, and show the potential to take on additional responsibilities.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with customers professionally, explaining repairs or answering questions.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Small Engine Experience: At least 3 years of mechanical experience, preferably with small engines or outdoor power equipment (Optional but preferred).
- Mechanical Experience: Broad mechanical experience, including automotive, marine, and power sports (Preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems (Required).
- Computer Skills: Ability to use computer systems for tracking work orders and inventory management.
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability & Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Tools: Must have your own set of standard industry tools.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift.
