Full job description
Overview
We are hiring CNC Machinists/Operators to support our high-volume, fully automated production lines powered by Kawasaki robotics. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on repeatable, high-output production rather than custom one-off parts.
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and changing over entire automated lines, ensuring machines and robots are running efficiently, and maintaining consistent part quality across large production runs (50,000+ pieces). The equipment is highly automated, with robots handling the majority of part movement and machining cycles.
We are looking for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, experience with CNC environments, and the ability to manage and maintain automated systems. If you enjoy keeping production flowing, dialing in processes, and working with robotics in a high-output environment, this is a strong fit.
Compensation
- $25 / hr base
- $1.50 - $2 /hr shift differential (on 3rd and 2nd shift respectively)
- Promotion within a year
Shift
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Benefits
- Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
- 401(k) + Company Match
- Paid time off and holidays
Responsibilities
- Line Setups & Changeovers – Perform full line changeovers on high-volume automated machining lines, typically on a weekly basis, ensuring machines and Kawasaki robots are properly configured for new production runs.
- Automated Production Oversight – Monitor and support fully automated CNC and robotic systems during long production runs, keeping lines running efficiently with minimal downtime.
- Offset & Program Adjustments – Make minor program edits and tool offset adjustments at the machine to maintain part quality and process stability (no heavy programming required).
- Quality Control – Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure consistent quality across large batch production.
- Troubleshooting & Uptime – Identify and resolve issues with machines, tooling, or robotic systems to minimize scrap and keep production flowing.
- Robotics Interaction – Work alongside Kawasaki robotic systems, ensuring proper operation, part flow, and integration with machining processes.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven hands-on experience in a CNC machining environment
- Experience working on high-volume production lines or repeat manufacturing preferred over job shop/custom work.
- Basic understanding of CNC machines (mills or lathes), tooling, and offsets.
- Comfort making minor program adjustments at the machine (offset changes, simple edits, tool touch-offs).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and processes.
- Experience performing machine or line changeovers, including tooling swaps, fixture changes, and setup verification.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and understand tolerances.
- Math Skills: Strong foundation in intermediate math, specifically geometry, for calculating tool paths and dimensional adjustments.
- Gauging & Measurement: Highly proficient with calipers, mics, and various manual gauges; comfortable working exclusively in the metric system.
- Bonus/Preferred Skills (Not Required):
-
- Machinist 1 Certification or equivalent degree
- Previous manual machining background
- Experience working around automated production lines or robotic systems (Kawasaki or similar) is highly preferred.
Benefits
- Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
- 401(k) + Company Match
- Paid time off and holidays
