Overview
We’re hiring a Welder / Fabricator with CWI credentials for a unique, "dual-threat" role where your hands-on skill is just as important as your inspection expertise. This is the perfect position for a high-level professional who wants to maintain their AWS certification without leaving the shop floor for a desk.
To be clear: this is a "hands-on" welding role with part-time CWI responsibilities. You will spend the majority of your time actively fabricating and welding high-quality frames, panels, and custom assemblies for the aerospace, defense, and national security sectors. When a specific project requires CWI oversight, you will step into that inspector role—managing documentation, verifying materials, and certifying welds against AWS D1.1, D1.7, and ASME B31.3 standards. Once the inspection is complete, you’re right back on the floor with the team.
The ideal candidate has a "builder" mindset—someone who takes immense pride in their own beads but has the technical eye to sign off on the final product. If you’re a CWI who still loves getting your hands dirty and wants to stay sharp on the torch, we want to talk to you.
