Full job description
We are seeking an Electrical/Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and integrate hardware and software systems for industrial instrumentation and control applications. This role works with engineers to build test equipment, verify system performance, and support field deployment.
Core responsibilities:
- Design and develop new electrical and electronic equipment and test systems
- Integrate data acquisition hardware with software systems
- Perform hardware verification, validation, and testing in lab and field environments
- Conduct research and development to produce innovative test equipment and technology
- Analyze collected data and prepare technical reports
- Travel periodically for field testing at domestic and international client sites (approx. 6–10 trips/year)
- Collaborate with software engineers and other technical teams to ensure system reliability and quality
Compensation: $70,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical/electronics engineering, hardware design, or instrumentation systems
- Hands-on experience with hardware/software integration and testing
- Proficiency with signal conditioning, system verification, and QA compliance
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial instrumentation or control systems
- Familiarity with LabVIEW, NI hardware, or other data acquisition tools
- Experience in hardware R&D and field deployment
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulatory requirements
