Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Brake Press Operator for a manufacturing company in Lawrenceburg, TN. This person will set up and operate brake press machines to bend and form metal parts.

We are looking for someone with real brake press experience who can read basic work instructions, measure parts, change tooling, and make clean, accurate bends.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate brake press machines
  • Bend, form, straighten, and finish sheet metal parts
  • Read work instructions, job travelers, measurements, and basic drawings
  • Plan the order of bends needed for each part
  • Select, position, and change dies/tooling
  • Load and position metal parts into the machine
  • Check parts for correct bends, measurements, and quality
  • Mark finished parts with job numbers when required
  • Keep work area clean and follow safety procedures
  • Report machine, tooling, material, or quality issues to a supervisor

Requirements
  • Brake press experience required
  • Ability to set up and operate the machine
  • Experience bending sheet metal, stainless steel, plate, or weldments preferred
  • Ability to read measurements and basic shop drawings
  • Experience changing dies/tooling preferred
  • Experience with Trumpf, Accurpress, Cincinnati, or Amada equipment is a plus
  • Able to inspect parts for correct size, bend, and finish
  • Able to stand, lift, and work in a manufacturing environment
  • Technical school, certificate, or related hands-on experience preferred
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work day shift
