Job Summary

We are hiring a skilled Manual Machinist to support our climate-controlled, high-mix, low-volume precision machining facility in Tulsa, OK. We are an industry-leading manufacturer building advanced, custom equipment for the construction and utilities industries.

In this role, you will work hands-on with metal parts using manual lathes and manual mills (including Bridgeport Manual Mills), crafting each piece with care and accuracy. Because our work is highly custom and complex, we welcome machinists from all backgrounds. Compensation

  • $27 - $32 / hr
  • Profit sharing + rapid raises

Sign On Bonus

  • Over $4k available upon signing

Shift Options

  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM (4 x 10s)

Responsibilities

  • Process Ownership: Own your work center, maintaining high quality and troubleshooting operational issues in real-time.
  • Setup & Operation: Set up and operate manual mills and lathes, including Bridgeport Manual Mills.
  • Custom Workholding: Perform your own complex setups and create custom workholding for unique, one-of-a-kind parts.
  • Documentation & Specs: Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and heavy GD&T to meet exact specifications.
  • Precision Machining: Machine high-mix, low-volume, and highly custom parts with precision and care.
  • Precision & Measurement: Perform manual measurement and inspection using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators to ensure top-quality results.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve machining challenges as they arise without relying on automated programming.
  • Safety & Efficiency: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace following 5S standards.

Requirements


Qualifications

Required

  • Mindset: Ideal for a traditional craftsman who thrives on hands-on, setup-heavy, precision work, with a track record of reliability, punctuality, and taking true ownership of your work.
  • Experience: Proven experience in manual machining.
  • Independence: Comfort working independently on highly custom, one-of-a-kind, or small-batch parts.
  • Technical: Deep understanding of heavy GD&T, complex blueprint reading, and machining planning steps.
  • Measurement: Strong measuring and manual inspection skills to verify tight tolerances.
  • Physical Ability: Physical ability to stand, bend, and move throughout most of your shift, as well as the capability to lift and move parts up to 50 pounds (using lifting devices when possible).

Preferred

  • Dual Machine Experience: Proven experience on both manual mills and lathes is highly preferred.
