OTE intends to recruit and retain a dynamic Facility Operations Manager, reporting to the Head of Facility Operations, to help supervise all operational activity occurring within and surrounding all OTE facilities (venue, housing, offices, etc.) while maintaining OTE’s mission to build a league that empowers the world’s 24 most talented, elite basketball players to realize their full educational, economic, and athletic potential. The Events Facility Manager will help manage the day-to-day operations of custodial, grounds and building maintenance activities. The role will act as a support to the overall operation of facilities with primary responsibilities of overall setup and breakdown of the facility for games and events and the care and cleaning of buildings and grounds; Additionally, he/ she will assist the Head of Facility Operations by providing facilities and operational input on major/minor projects.

What you’ll do
- Responsible for helping to manage the day-to-day operations of all OTE Arena, including venue, surrounding area, and offices
- Help with all setup and breakdown for games and outside events
- Coordinate planning and schedule for setup for all outside events, working with events staff to make sure deadlines are met and setups are ready to go.
- Manage the cleaning and upkeep of the OTE Facility as well as vendors that are currently in place
- Track and monitor all cleaning activities and put together comprehensive monthly, weekly and daily schedules for the cleaning crew.
- Work with vendors and contractors to ensure all work is being completed up to facility standards
- Administer policies, procedures, and processes in support of building and event operations
- Assists in Preventative Maintenance work as well as troubleshooting and responding to critical and after-hours issues as needed regarding operational aspects of the facilities such as HVAC, fire, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- Help with minor maintenance and upkeep in the facility such as small repairs to carpet, painting, and other finishes in the building.
- Work with Basketball Ops, Events as well as Production on storage areas and movement/setup of equipment on a day-to-day basis
- Coordinate with the Head of Facility Operations to help maintain overall cleanliness and upkeep of the OTE Facility.
- Manage all large deliveries coming into the building.
- Any and all other duties and tasks as assigned
Who you are
- 4+ Years of experience in building operations, event operations, or facilities management
- Great attention to detail, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Experience managing cleaning crews
- Experience working with multiple vendors
- Experience working with a changeover crew a plus
- Experience with Google Suite software of equivalent (Office 360, etc.)
- Passion for Maintaining and clean and orderly building
- Ability to work on tasks and projects individually
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication skills and a team player
