Social Content Creator (Apparel)

Overview
Overtime is hiring a Social Content Creator to join our team full-time in NYC. This role is integral to Overtime's continued success and growth in social media and revenue for our apparel business.

This role is for a creator with taste and speed who can independently ideate, shoot, edit, and publish content that builds a distinct channel voice, launches repeatable series, and supports drops and sales conversion.

What You'll Do:
  • Own end-to-end creation: pitch concepts, shoot, edit, publish, and iterate — solo or with a lightweight crew.
  • Create insane amounts of content daily — coming up with concepts, executing, and editing super fast and efficiently.
  • Produce short-form original content for several Overtime channels to market new drops, build brand voice, and acquire new customers for our apparel brand.
  • Build franchises: turn one good idea into a repeatable series with a clear format and cadence.
  • Drop support + conversion: create product narratives, CTAs, and live commerce support (e.g., TikTok Live) that make the product feel like culture, not merch.
  • Performance literacy: optimize for watch time and retention — hooks, pacing, payoff — without mindlessly chasing every trend.
  • Work closely with our league's NIL athletes and Overtime talent to star in content.
  • Travel for shoots, managing talent, directing content, and leading creative on-site.
  • Organize publishing, editing, and talent schedules to align with deliverable goals.
  • Create reports outlining channel performance — social analytics will be your best friend.
  • Stay on top of everything relevant to our channels: sports, pop culture, streetwear, and beyond.
  • Publish content to Overtime Fits channels, including Instagram and TikTok.
  • Review content before posting: proofread, spell-check, and QC videos.
  • Strategize with leaders from the Apparel, Marketing, and Social teams.

This Is Not!
  • A pure sports highlight editing role.
  • An approvals-heavy environment.
  • A role for someone who needs detailed briefs to get started.

Who You Are:
  • MOST IMPORTANT: You understand and can communicate in Overtime's voice.
  • You are a platform-native creator on TikTok and Instagram. You understand formats, trends, sounds, pacing, and what drives engagement and retention in sports and lifestyle.
  • You have a strong editorial eye. You know what looks premium and what looks cringe.
  • You can build franchises. You turn one good idea into a repeatable series with a clear format and cadence.
  • You can write. Captions and on-screen copy are concise, culturally fluent, and not try-hard.
  • You are conversion-aware. You can make product feel like culture and lifestyle, understand CTAs, and build excitement around key drops.
  • You live, breathe, and eat social media and everything on the internet.
  • Super fast video editor, proficient in Adobe Suite (Premiere required; Photoshop and After Effects a bonus).
  • At least 2+ years of professionally managing and posting on multiple social media accounts.
  • Detail-oriented — an amazing proofreader who always checks their work.
  • Down to hustle — this role requires regular nights and weekends.
  • Fast. You always want to be first.
  • LOVE sports and streetwear. You are passionate and knowledgeable about athletes, sports news, and sneaker/streetwear culture.
  • Problem-solver and self-starter. You take initiative without being told what to do.
  • Flexible in adapting to changing timelines and deliverables.
  • Proactive, positive team player, able to guide projects from ingest to delivery.

Compensation
Overtime expects the salary range for this role to be $65,000–$80,000, dependent on experience. Overtime also offers health benefits and stock options in the company.
